To build a more inclusive and responsive ArthritisPower research network, the Global Healthy Living Foundation (GHLF), a patient-centered non-profit organization with the mission of improving the quality of life for people with chronic illness, seeks potential patient engagement advisors to serve on a newly created advisory panel.
Overview and Background
GHLF is convening a panel of 20-25 people living with arthritis or other rheumatic or musculoskeletal conditions to serve as patient engagement advisors. Advisors have the opportunity to work alongside researchers and clinicians to provide ongoing assistance to engage a more inclusive population of arthritis patients in the ArthritisPower Patient Powered Research Network.
Patient Engagement Advisor
Advisors will work together to demonstrate the “patient engagement in research” capabilities of ArthritisPower and the value in doing and sharing research that is relevant to all patients. Advisors will serve on a newly created advisory panel that will provide insights and perspectives on health research topics and how best to engage patients as participants in research.
Advisors on this panel will be asked to join a conference call once every 3-4 months to review research topics and materials, including promotional messages and methods for engagement, recruitment, and retention of members. Advisors are expected to serve for two-year terms. It is strongly suggested that advisors become an ArthritisPower member. If you are not already a registered ArthritisPower member, please click here to register.
Advisors will be paid $200 annually for their participation on the panel.
