Which patient-reported outcomes do rheumatology patients find important to track digitally? A real-world longitudinal study in ArthritisPower

This virtual, longitudinal study explores the different patient-reported outcomes (PROs) that patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases consider important for their disease management. Patients were asked to choose between three to ten PRO symptom measures through the ArthritisPower app. Over the subsequent 3 months, 140 participants completed the online surveys, and chose whether to continue tracking their previously selected measures or to edit their measures at three monthly time points. Through these results, researchers found that fatigue, physical function, pain, and morning joint stiffness were among the top symptoms that were prioritized by patients as important to track for their rheumatic disease. Symptoms suggested by patients that were not listed in this study include appetite, dehydration, pain in specific sites (e.g., hand, foot), and stress.
